"On the 17th of September, 1861, General Buckner, with some Tennessee troops and the Kentucky regiments, moved to Bowling Green, in Kentucky, and occupied it, fortifying it and fitting it for the base of active operations of the Confederate armies in Kentucky, which it became for some months. Around the Country
Hello all! Our last max effort event for this year is upon us. We will be gathering at Wolcott Mill on Oct 7,8,9 in order to beat back the yankee invader before going into winter camp. This year we will be posted up on the hill. The company will be using two big flies as accomodation. Bring extra blankets, or your best spooning pard to stave off the cold. Battle shirts are the uniform for the weekend. Of course, frocks will probably be needed for the evening hours if the temperature dips. Make sure to bring extra ammunition for the tactical. If you are in need of loaner gear, please contact JW or myself before Wednesday Oct. 5 so we have time to get it ready. THIS IS IT!!!! Call all your pards and try to get everyone out for our last event. I will see you all there.
Cheers,
C.C.
